SEPTEMBER MORNING

SEPTEMBER MORNING

September morning,
Apples hanging heavy on the tree.
Spider webs and enormous spiders
Weaving webs in the rain.

Tiny wrens,
Small hungry sparrows
Trying to make a difference
To a world sodden with threats
Of nuclear war.

  1. What saddens me is that the real threat of nuclear escalation is not our biggest worry.
But there seems to be absolutely nothing we can do about any of it but tread lightly and try to leave beauty in our wake.
And perhaps keep our eyes open.
    I think you’re doing ok.
