THE STAR THAT DARED
I love
The man
Who loved
The star
That shone
Alone
In the midnight
Sky.
The man
Who knew
The implacable
Dark
That rolled
Across
The shining
Star.
Until
Its brave
And lovely
Light
Was utterly
Put out.
Reminder:
Every star
Needs
A fire
Extinguisher.

They stand a better chance with a fire extinguisher, don’t you think? Sometimes, we
can be the extinguisher.

I would think you have been a fire extinguisher for people all your life, judging by
your compassionate and brilliant posts. Glad you feel easier about the poem.

For the beautiful comparison u gave me, I have walked in fire all my life that has helped me value the fire extinguisher but for others.
