WINTER CHERRY
Winter Cherry,
Planted when the Autumn sun
Poured its warmth
Into the soil.
Ten leaves
On that bare-backed tree,
Now ten buds
On the warm red wood.
Spring dancing
With delight.
Cherry blossom cascading.
White petals
Red tipped,
Kissed by the joyful lips
Of a new beginning.
